What we collect: almost nothing
What you type is never sent to us. The comparison is calculated inside your own browser, from a data file your browser already downloaded with the page.

The values you enter
When you enter your age, sex and a measurement, those values stay in the memory of the page you have open. They are used to look up a position in a table that was downloaded with the page, and they disappear when you reload or close it. Nothing is transmitted to us, and no account is created.
What your browser remembers
On the European comparison pages there is one exception. The country and the age you enter, together with the light or dark theme you pick, are saved in this browser's local storage, under a single key, so that the next page already knows them instead of asking again. That storage sits on your own device: it is never sent to us, there is no server behind it, and no profile of you exists anywhere else. Clearing site data for this domain removes it, and a private window keeps nothing at all.
One exception you control. If you press “copy link to this result”, the link that is created contains your age, sex and measurement as part of the web address — that is what makes the result shareable. It is placed on your clipboard and goes nowhere else. But anyone you send that link to can read those values from it, so share it deliberately.
Analytics and cookies
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and contains no advertising code. There is nothing to consent to, so we do not ask.
That may change. If analytics or advertising is ever added, this page will be updated before the code goes live, and where consent is legally required it will be requested through an appropriate consent platform — with no non-essential cookies set before you have chosen.
Technically necessary data
As with virtually any website, the hosting provider processes technical request data: an IP address, the time, the page requested, browser information and errors. This is necessary to deliver the site securely. HumanAverage is hosted by Vercel.
We do also use Google Search Console, which reports how the site performs in Google Search. It shows aggregated figures — how often pages appeared and were clicked — and does not identify individual visitors to us.
External links
We link to the CDC, to scientific publishers and to source datasets. Once you open one of those, that party's own privacy policy applies. We never pass your entered values along in such a link.
If you email firenature23@gmail.com we receive your address, your message and anything else you choose to include, and use it only to handle your question. Email is processed through Gmail, so Google's privacy policy also applies. Please do not send passwords, medical records or other sensitive information.
Your rights
Because we never receive your measurements, we cannot show you, correct or delete them — there is nothing on our side to act on. For questions about other data, about deleting an email you sent us, or about this policy, write to firenature23@gmail.com.
